Animists
- are a fun class to play, but very tricky. Animists use 'shrooms' to do
their killing for them. If you don't pay attention you will quickly fall.
Bainshees - scream, a lot! and are a fun class to play. Bainshees do ok,
solo, but are great in groups with their area of effect [AoE] damage.
Bards -
are a tanks best friend. Bards wield instruments that help them sing songs
of health, power, speed and endurance. Its hard to solo with one, but no
group is complete without one. Bards can also heal and give basic buffs and
work together well with Druids and Wardens.
Blademaster - is an unusual class, you can use blades, pierce or blunt
weapons, as well as a bow. Blademasters are a wonder to watch and to play.
Champions - are a hybrid class, you have spells to use on your enemies
and you can protect your friends, you can train in different weapons and use
a shield, you make a formidable adversary for anyone.
Druid
- is a highly sought after class, often used as a 'bot' to buff people, but
druids are much more than simple beings to be ignored. Trained right, a
Druid makes a great soloer, and when following other paths, a Druid can make
or break a group. Druids are the best healers in Hibernia and have great
buffs as well.
Eldritch - is a very powerful caster and can drop their enemies quickly,
with AoE and direct target damage spells. Eldritches [Eldy's] do well solo
and in groups.
Enchanter - is the best 'farming' character out there. Enchanters
[Chanters] have a pet they can summon. Chanter pets can take on many enemies
at one time and can fight enemies that are much higher level than they are
with ease.
Hero -
is one of the best tanks out there, they can fight well solo, and defend
their friends as well. Hero's are pure tanks and have a few tricks up their
sleeves to stay alive longer.
Mauler
- is the newest class to Camelot and is one of the only classes that all three
(3) realms have. Maulers can fight with their fists or with a staff, both
styles are very effective. A mauler is a true hybrid class, it is similar to
Vampiirs, Mana Mentalists, Wardens, and tanks. A minotaur is a good all
around class and can serve many roles depending on how you chose to
specialize its training.
Mentalist - is one of the odd ones, they can follow a path that lets
them charm their enemy into doing their bidding (only works on mobs, not
players though, bummer) or they can follow a path that works well with
Chanters. Mentalists are powerful in their own way, and do well solo, but
work great in a group.
Nightshade
- is a loner and tends to hide in the shadows waiting for the
right moment to strike. Nightshades are great in RvR but have a hard time
finding a niche in PvE.
Ranger
- tends to stay in the shadows like a Nightshade, but they can attack from
far away with their bow, striking an enemy down with their arrows before
they can even get close and returning to the shadows again to wait.
Valewalkers - are odd people, they are melee and casters too, they do
much better in battle than any other caster and can take a hit quite well.
Valewalkers use Scythes to cut their enemy down swiftly and are a joy to
play and watch.
Vampiir
- I will admit I am quite biased here, Vampiirs are not your run of the mill
tank, they do high damage with their weapon and have attacks they can cast
in battle as well, Vampiirs are great in one on one and can take a few
enemies at a time as well. Vampiirs do well in RvR and PvE, though, they
seem not to tan very well....
Warden
- is a healer and a fighter, Wardens have the ability to fight well and use
weapon styles. Wardens make good healers as well and can be counted on in
battle. Their natural abilities help their friends survive longer and can
mean the difference between a successful fight and a failed battle.
